Stanley Lewis McFee
Queensbury – Stanley Lewis McFee, a former resident of Queensbury, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. Born June 3, 1929 in Marshville, New York, he was the son of the late Ezra and Blancho (Drumm) McFee. Stanley and his wife moved to Ocala in 1999. He was a member of the Ocala West United Methodist Church and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. McFee was a retired printer/traffic manager for Chase Bag Company with 35 years of service. He was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1946-1948 during WWII. After retirement he became a seasonal employee of Glens Falls Country Club where he was known as “Stan, the divot man!” Stan’s family was always the most important part of his life. He also enjoyed traveling, woodworking, airplanes, and gardening. His storytelling and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara; his children, Deborah DeZalia (Terry) of North Hudson, NY, Scott McFee (Anne) of Valrico, FL, and Wayne McFee (Rhonda) of Charleston, SC; 3 grandchildren, Allie, Jack, and Daniel McFee; his sister, Helen Dunckle (John) of Vestal, NY and several nieces and nephews. Services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road in Schuylerville with the Rev. Keith Mann officiating. A gathering will follow at the Quaker Springs Firehouse.
