Every year, thousands of children suffer at the hands of an adult and their voices are often left unheard.

Social worker and mother of three, Dianna Lenz, is founder of the company WILA YOU, which is designed to help raise awareness and funds for children of abuse.

WILA YOU stands for “What I Like About You” and is a perfect way to show your friends and family how much they mean to you while raising awareness for a child who needs a voice.

Through WILA You, Lenz is proud to share with others her custom-made bracelets designed to lift the spirit. She has always felt a need to help raise awareness for child abuse and while taking a nap with her 3-year-old son, the concept of WILA You was born. she explains that WILA You is more than just a business venture.

“It’s my way of raising awareness, one piece of jewelry at a time,” Lenz said.

She explains that, “As a social worker, I saw firsthand the uplifting effect a kind word can have on someone, especially someone who has low self-esteem.”

Lenz soon taught herself how to make jewelry and now custom makes each bracelet herself.

Each piece of WILA You jewelry contains a special word on a silver charm, selected to describe what you like most about someone special. You can select words such as courage, laugh, spirit, mom or friend, among others, to help raise a person’s self-esteem and to remind them how special they are. The bracelets can serve as a reminder to someone how courageous they are during a time of weakness or how meaningful their friendship is.

Lenz shares that the bracelet she wears displays the word “You” which symbolizes her sister’s love of everything about her. Each bracelet is made from Czech glass seed beads with Swarovski Crystal accents. They also come with a sterling silver WILA You logo tag and are packaged in their own polka dot bag. Bracelets start at $18.95 and a portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Saratoga Center for the Family to help with the prevention and treatment of child abuse.
