Sheila “Susan” Reilly
Mechanicville, NY – Sheila “Susan” Reilly of Smith Road passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. She was 59. Born Dec. 18, 1949 in New Brunswick, Canada she was the daughter of the late Margaret LaVoy. Susan lived locally all of her life and was a self-employed hair stylist. She loved, shared, worked and laughed with the world, but she cherished her family above all. In addition to her mother, she is predeceased by her brother Bob LaVoy. Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Thomas Reilly; her two sons, Jonathan and Matthew along with her future daughter-in-law Danielle Callahan; her siblings, Pam (Ray) Taylor, Margaret Waldron, Geraldine (Donald) Barns, Peter (Christi) LaVoy, Robert LaVoy and Vonda Lance; her father and mother-in-law Howard and Alma Reilly along with her husband’s brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. A Tridentine Requiem Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 2310 5th Ave., Troy, NY. Burial will followed at the Reilly Farm Family Cemetery on Ushers Rd., Mechanicville. Memorial donations may be made to C.C.E. of Saratoga Co., 50 West High St., Ballston Spa, NY 12020 in memory of the Sean Reilly scholarship fund.
