Saratoga Springs – Dolores M. (Prada) Ramsey of Jefferson Street passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 63.

Born in Sanford, Maine on May 7, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Geronimo and Genevieve (Kate) Dominick Prada. She came to Saratoga Springs as a child. Dolores managed the Just A Buck store in the Saratoga Mall and also worked at the Holiday Inn on Broadway for many years. She enjoyed being with her family and especially the time she spent with her granddaughter Sierra. She also enjoyed her son’s tributes to Elvis and attended many of his performances. Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Dolores is predeceased by one brother, Lorenzo Prada.

Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Albert Ramsey of Saratoga Springs; her son, Joseph Ramsey and his wife Angela of Glens Falls; her granddaughter, Sierra also of Glens Falls; her two sisters, Frances Gailor of Ballston Lake, Betty Mangona and her husband Carl of Saratoga Springs and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends gathered on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today, April 11 at the funeral home by Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
