Gerald W. Ellsworth
Greenfield Center, NY – Gerald W. Ellsworth of Braim Road peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at his home. He was 68. Born on May 8, 1939 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late Ralph J. and Elizabeth (Sesselman) Ellsworth. He was a 1957 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and received his bachelor’s degree from LeMoyne College in 1961. Jerry enjoyed the great outdoors, spending time on his farm and in the Adirondacks. He was always interested in hiking, walking in the woods and snowmobiling with his children and grandchildren. Jerry also enjoyed working at his business, Ellsworth Ice Cream, as owner and CEO. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Theresa (Wanko) Ellsworth; his children and grandchildren, Scott G. Ellsworth and his wife, Deborah and their children, Marissa, Felicia and Garrett Ellsworth, all of Pittsford, NY, J. Tabor Ellsworth and his wife, Mary and their children, Clarence and Madeline Ellsworth, all of Greenfield Center and Leah A. Ellsworth-Cahill and her son, Conor Gerald Cahill, of Syracuse; his brother, Ronald J. Ellsworth and his wife, Joyce of Ballston Spa and his sister, Mary A. Kissko and her husband, Larry of Putnam Station, NY. Relatives and friends gathered on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the funeral home by Father Neil Draves-Arpaia. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Avenue, Saratoga Springs at a later date. |
