Saratoga Springs-Barbara Gilbert Boys entered into Heaven on Monday, March 24, 2008 with her children at her side. She was 77.

Born on March 21, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara attended schools in the Cleveland area, graduating from Bay High in 1949.  She was the wife of the late Jack A. Boys. They lived in several places in Ohio, as well as Mound, MN, Yardley, PA, and Venice, FL.  She moved to Saratoga Springs in 2004 to be with her daughter. Barbara loved the Lord, her faith gave her strength and joy every day of her life and she was an inspiration to many lives, especially her family and close friends.  She was full of joy, laughter, and love until her final day. Her greatest passion in life was her family, her friends, her faith, her dogs, and spending time at the lake.

Survivors include her sister, Roxana Kendzel (Allyn), of Lakewood, OH, her brother, John Gilbert, Jr. of Deland, FL, her two daughters, Cathy Caraco (John) of Saratoga Springs, Laura Notestine (Kerry) of Houston, TX, and a son, Jack A. Boys, II (Laura) of Newburyport, MA, her beloved five grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews.

Her love and laughter will be greatly missed but, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in Heaven with the Lord.

The family will hold a private service this summer at Squam Lake, NH. Memorials may be made in her name to the New Life Fellowship/Global Outreach, 51 Old Gick Road, Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.
