You know who you are!

Hilda was also an avid golfer and bridge player. A communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, she was deeply devoted to her family, always putting their needs before her own. Hilda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her twin sister, Genevieve F. (Jean) Martin, who died on April 27, 2005; her son-in-law, Mike Gibney and granddaughter, Shannon Gibney.

She was the mother of Richard J. Bendon (Patricia Hayes Bendon) and Kathleen (Bendon) Gibney; Nana of Misty (Bendon) Salaway, James Bendon, Korey Bendon, Michael Gibney, Daniel Gibney, Heather Gibney-Howe and the late Shannon Gibney; Great grandmother and Nana of nine, Mitchell Shaver, Cooper and Carson Salaway, Parker Bendon, Makana, Spencer and Sarah Gibney and Emma and Evan Gibney.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday (Mar. 27, 2008) at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Burial followed in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave. There are no calling hours.

Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
