Saratoga Springs – Martha Louise (Kirkpatrick) Hames, recently of Williamstown, MA, passed away Friday (Mar. 7, 2008) at the North Adams Medical Center. She was 90.

Born on Feb. 12, 1918 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Martic) Kirkpatrick and was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School.

She and her late husband co-owned and operated Hames Cleaners on Lincoln Avenue in Saratoga Springs for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Arnold “Bud” Hames, who died on Dec. 28, 1989; five brothers, George, Benjamin, James, John and Richard (Newt) Kirkpatrick and three sisters, Dorothy Green, Marcella Gibney Cudney and Elizabeth Hudson.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

There are no public calling hours and spring burial will be in the family plot at Maplewood Cemetery, Weibel Avenue.
