Saratoga Springs – Viola Colucci (Howard) Martin of Ash Street passed away Palm Sunday morning (Mar. 16, 2008) at Saratoga Hospital.

Born and raised in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Giordano) Colucci and was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Peter.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, George L. Howard, Sr., who died on Aug. 31, 1979 and her second husband, John L. Martin, who died on Aug. 7, 2005; two brothers, James and Philip Colucci and one sister, Rose McDermott.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George L. Howard, Jr. and Lynn Howard of Saratoga Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra L. Kubish and Joseph Kubish of Wilton; five grandchildren, Kim Brock, Joseph Kubish, Jr., George L. Howard, III, Michael J. Howard and Jeffrey R. Howard; one great-grandson, Geoffrey Yeager and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday (Mar. 24, 2008) in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave. There will be no public calling hours.
