Dorothy Longo Woodworth
Saratoga Springs-Dorothy Longo Woodworth passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 86. Born April 21, 1921 is Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Minnie (Evans) Longo. Dorothy was an LPN at Wilton Developmental Center and retired after more than 20 years of employment. Her hands were never idle. She enjoyed planting flowers, knitting, sewing, crocheting and playing slot machines. Dorothy loved to play cards and her favorite pastimes were playing games with her grandchildren and watching the Yankees. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Harold P.Woodworth, who died April 3, 1983 and her sister, Minnie Doney. Survivors include her son Harold N. Woodworth and his wife Nancy; three grandchildren, Kerry and Patrick Woodworth, Kimberly Racaza and her husband Renante and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, March 17. at Our Lady’s Chapel, St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs. There were no public calling hours. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West. Ave. Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206.
