About the band:

  • The Saratoga Springs quartet has been together for the past six months; Otto’s Jacket originally started back in 2005 as a solo project of Hartman’s. The group’s rock and roll music has been influenced by artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Wilco and Elliott Smith.
  • On Aug. 11, Otto’s Jacket will release their first full-length album, “About You.” That same month fans can also look forward to the four-song EP “Diamond Bullets,” which will be available on iTunes.
  • This fall, the band will hit the road for a 15-stop Northeast tour with Triggerlust.
  • In the future, the members of Otto’s Jacket hope to write and record more material. Overall, the band has more than 50 original songs.
  • Otto’s Jacket is playing an 18+ show at 8 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Valentine’s in Albany with The Ashbury, They’re Liars, Triggerlust and Chatam. Tickets are $8 for people under 21 and $7 for everybody else.

Quotable Quotes:

“I’d heard a lot of their music before I was in the band and had some ideas about what I could add to it,” Corrigan said. “When we record, it’s exactly what I wanted it to sound like and in some cases better.”

“Our songs are short, concise and they stay in your head,” Corrigan said.

“People have told me they’d be humming one of our songs before it even ended,” Blair said.
