Schuylerville High School sophomore Sarah Anderson has done it all this winter and she added another sectional title to her resume last weekend at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

The 103-pound dynamo defeated Tamarac’s Tom Fuller, 4-0, to win her second straight Section II, Division II title. Anderson (36-1) moves on to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships on March 7 and 8 in Rochester.

Joining Anderson on the trip will be unbeaten junior teammate Dan Ladd (30-0), who defeated Maple Hill’s Pat Owen in just 1 minute, 27 seconds at 285 pounds.

Also making the trip will be Ballston Spa senior Alex Steciuk (40-1), who won his second title at 160. It was his first since 2005 when he made it at 112. On Saturday, Steciuk defeated Amsterdam’s John Paris, 7-3.

In Divsion I, Shenendehowa captured the team title with a score of 195.5. Amsterdam was the runner-up with 160.

The Plainsmen were led by phenom Hunter Meys at 189 pounds. The Boston University-bound got a match from Queensbury’s Jared Myhrberg. Meys (43-0) was nearly pinned and won by decision, 8-6.

Other Shenendehowa winners were Luke Popolizio at 103, Juliano Pabon at 112 and Austin Meys at 171. Austin Meys scored a technical fall over Saratoga Springs’ Adam Winnie in 5:07.

Ballston Spa finished sixth (117), Saratoga Springs was 10th (69 1/2) and South Glens Falls was 11th (58 1/2). In Division II, Schuylerville finished fourth (111) and Corinth was 12th (59 1/2).
