Agnes Elizabeth “Beth” Pfaffenbach

 

Wilton-Agnes Elizabeth “Beth” Pfaffenbach died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at Ellis Hospital. She was 66.

 

Born Jan. 23, 1943 in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late Mildred and Norbert Pfaffenbach. Beth was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Schenectady and a 1964 graduate of Oneonta State Teacher’s College. She went on to receive her Master’s degree from Russell Sage College. Beth taught elementary school for many years in the Shenendehowa School district, Skano building in Clifton Park, retiring in 1998. She served in many capacities with the Schenectady and Wilton Historical Societies and was a past president of Grant’s Cottage in Wilton. Beth also volunteered and worked in the box office at SPAC in Saratoga for many years as well as volunteering at Proctor’s Theater.

 

Survivors include her brother David Pfaffenbach and his wife Linda of Burnt Hills; a niece, Sarah Pfaffenbach and her fiancé Erik Klebauskas; one great- nephew, Austin Klebauskas and a great-niece, Riley Klebauskas all of Wilton and many cousins.

 

Relatives and friends called Thursday, (Feb. 28, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons, Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A service followed at the funeral home.

 

Burial will be private.

 

Memorials may be made in her name to the Friends of Ulysses S. Grant Cottage, PO Box 2294, Wilton, NY 12831 or a charity of one’s choice.
