Florence R. Wagner

 

Greenfield Center- Florence R. Wagner entered eternal rest surrounded by family and friends on Feb. 18, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. She was 82.

 

Born July 5, 1925 in Rensselaer, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Wilhelmina (Meaghan) Roehr.  She graduated from St. John’s Academy in 1941.  After working for the New York Telephone Company, she become a mother and homemaker.

 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother William Alan Roehr and her son Pete Wagner.

 

Survivors include her children Gail (Anthony) Tagliaferro, Carolyn (Greg) Duell, Donna Delaney, William (Joyce) Wagner, Michael (Sherry) Wagner, Kathryn (Edward) Gioviantti and Betsy (Maurice) Iaquinta. Florence was also survived by her sister Mary Thebert, her sister-in-law Mary Roehr, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends called Thursday (February 21, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A service followed at the funeral home.

 

Burial will be in the spring at Greenfield Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made in her name to Porter Corners Fire Department, Porter Corners, N.Y.
