Charles A. Hotaling, Jr.
Saratoga Springs - Charles A. Hotaling, Jr., formerly of George Street, passed away Saturday (Feb. 16, 2008) at Glens Falls Hospital. He was 74. Born on Dec. 26, 1933, in Saratoga Springs, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Elizabeth A. (Quinn) Hotaling, Sr., and was a lifelong resident. He had worked for several years at the NY State Tree Nursery and also for the city of Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works. He had been a resident at Alterra, Pine Manor on Middle Line Road and at the Stanton Nursing Home in Glens Falls. Among his interests were communicating on his CB radio with the handle “Two-Wheeler” and he also enjoyed many years fishing from his rowboat. Survivors include his brothers, William (Gladys) Hotaling of Ballston Lake, Edward Hotaling of Washington, DC and James (Mary) Hotaling of Saranac Lake; several nieces and nephews, including Eric, Bryan, Mark, Scott, Greg, Luc, Suzanne and Caroline Hotaling and Elizabeth McAuliffe. Relatives and friends called Tuesday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the funeral home by Father Neil Draves-Arpaia and burial followed in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave. Memorials may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice. |
