Saratoga Springs - Clementine “Linda” (Piroli) Leone of Grand Avenue, passed away Saturday (Feb. 9, 2008) at the Wesley Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80.

Born on April 1, 1927 in Mechanicville, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Guinelli Piroli and moved to Saratoga Springs in 1955. For many years she was employed by the Saratoga Springs City School District prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed cooking and crocheting many different items.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph A. Leone Sr. who passed away January 17, 2008 and one brother, Leo Piroli of Mechanicville.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Willette and her husband Gary, one son, Joseph A. Leone Jr. and his wife Virginia, all of Saratoga Springs; eight grandchildren, Amy and Jamie Richards, Shannon Lawler and her husband Andrew, Renee and Chris Willette, Vincent, Angela and Nicholas Leone; two great-grandchildren, Amber Willette and Andrew Lawler, Jr.; four sisters, Nancy Piroli, Carm and her husband Eddie Batchelder, Anna Arceneaux, all of Mechanicville, Mae DelVecchio and her husband Anthony of Malta and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave., by the Very Rev. Joseph C. Tizio C.Ss.R., pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, Capital District Chapter, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206-2083 or to the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
