Saratoga Springs – May (Connery) Gass, of Monroe Street, passed away Sunday (Feb. 10, 2008) at her residence. She was 89.

Born on March 7, 1918 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Ide) Connery and was a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Gass was a 1935 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and a member of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Gass, who died on August 29, 1991; one sister, Johanna LeDuc and one niece, Toni Hudson.

Survivors include her brother, John D. Connery and her sister, Joan Brucker, both of Saratoga Springs and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at Our Lady’s Chapel in the parish center of St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Burial followed in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Avenue and there were no public calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (584-5373).

Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
