Frances  C. (Cogan) Talbot

 

Gansevoort – Frances  C. (Cogan) Talbot, of Wilton-Gansevoort Road, passed away Saturday (Feb. 2, 2008) at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79.

 

Born on Jan. 1, 1929 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she is a daughter of the late John and Helene (Butler) Cogan and attended St. Peter’s Academy. She was employed for over 30 years with Price Chopper and retired as deli/bakery manager.  

 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Talbot, who died on Feb. 15, 1994, one daughter, Pamela K. Talbot, who died on Sept. 16, 2003 and four siblings, John (Jack) Cogan, Margaret Cogan, James Cogan and Eugene Cogan.

 

Survivors include her loving children; Gary (Michele) Talbot of Schuylerville, Edward Talbot (Pat Tobin) of Gansevoort, Marybeth Talbot (Peter) Syzdek and Sandra Talbot (John) Bradwell. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristen (Neil) Peck, Jason (Adrienne) Talbot, Ryan, Matthew and Andrew Talbot, Rickey Mangona and Mackenzie Talbot Bradwell; five great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Lou Eddy of Saratoga Springs, three sisters-in-law, Helen Cogan and Sally Cogan, both of Saratoga Springs and Kay Edwards of Granville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Relatives and friends called Monday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373).

 

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Spring burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Loudon Road.

 

Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
