Enigmatic Heart

Who’s who:

Kris Woodcock – guitar and vocals

Sam Woodcock – drums

Bobby Eckert – lead guitar

Clark Rischbieter – bass and screams

About the band:

The post-hardcore/screamo outfit from Clifton Park formed a little more than a year ago. The group considers artists such as The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, Circa Survive, Silverstein, The Fall of Troy and Led Zeppelin to have influenced their music.

Despite the fact that none of the quartet’s members can get into an R-rated movie, Enigmatic Heart has already shared the stage with an impressive list of well-known acts including Senses Fail, Chiodos, From Autumn to Ashes, Just Surrender and Boys Night Out.

On June 15, Enigmatic Heart released their first EP, “Relying on the Sky.” The band plans to work on new material over the summer and possibly record again in the fall.

Enigmatic Heart doesn’t have any gigs lined up now, but has many area shows pending. Kris said to check the band’s Web sites the next few weeks for updates.

Quotable Quotes:

“To me, it doesn’t matter how many people are there in the crowd,” Kris said. “We’re just having fun and getting the most out of it we can.”

“My favorite thing is playing onstage. It’s the best,” Eckert said. “Even if only one person cheers, it’s such a good feeling.”
