On the first Saturday of every month, local galleries and exhibition sites in Saratoga Springs stay open from 5-8 p.m. so people can enjoy artists’ receptions, performances, and other happenings as part of the First Saturday Arts Night.
For January, the program offers visitors to each participating venue the chance to win a Saratoga County Arts Council Class Gift Certificate valued at $95. By visiting all the sites, a person’s name will be entered in a raffle to win free registration for one of the Arts Council’s seasonal class offerings including theater, writing and visual arts courses. This month’s First Saturday Arts Night takes place on Jan. 5. Saratoga County Arts Council Regrant Administrator Leigh Ollman believes the event is a great opportunity to mingle with other art-lovers, enjoy refreshments, and support local artists. Official First Saturday Arts Night raffle tickets can be picked up at any participating site. Winners will be picked at random.
