The Mechanicville Golf Club has a new medal play champion for 2007.

Matt Salvadore had two steady rounds (gross) of 74 and 78 for a two-day total of 152 to win the coveted trophy in the championship division. Low net went to Joe Bodner with a 78-72 (150).

In the B flight, it was Nick Perotta who claimed the gross prize with 91-84 (175). The low net winner was Tom Halusic with a total of 174.

The low scores on Sunday also qualified for the Seniors Championship. Again it was Nick Perotta with low gross at 84 and Tom Halusic with low net at 74.

The gross Junior Division crown went to Brian Rigney at 160 (85-75). The low gross winner was Mike DiDomanico with rounds of 78-75 (154).

The McGregor Links Country Club held its annual mixed member-guest tourney that attracted guests from across the state to the popular event.

Kevin and Judy Ture, with their guests, Adam and Elaine Jakiela, were the top prize winners taking first low gross with a score of 117.

The format for the event was mixed bag involving holes 1-6 (scramble), holes 7-12 (scramble) and holes 13-18 (best two balls of the foursome).

The runner-up spot in the gross division went to members Karl and Betty Bellinger and guests Joe and Vera Murphy at 123.

It was Chuck and Ellie Raymond and former McGregor Links members John and Roxanne Andrews who took the low net crown with a net score of 80.
