Every year in July, one of the oldest fairs in New York state takes place in the village of Ballston Spa. The Saratoga County Fair, scheduled to run July 17-22, attracts thousands of people annually and remains a cherished local tradition.
According to www.saratogacountyfair.org, visitors to this year’s Fair will experience the thrills of spectacular rides such as the Music Express, Bonzai and Wave Swinger. Folks can also step into the brand new Mardi Gras Glass House, stop by Kiddieland or try their hand at a few carnival games. The Saratoga County Fair Admission: For adults, it’s $7 Tuesday through Thursday and $10 Friday through Sunday. Tickets are $3 every day for children 6-12 years old and kids under six are always free. Wednesday senior citizens 65 and over get in for just $4 until 5 p.m. Season ticket: $25 per adult or $5 per child age 6-12 admits one person all week. Parking: Free in all fair-managed lots. Hours: The Fair is open 9 a.m. to midnight daily and the Midway runs from noon to midnight everyday. The concessions are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and beer is served from noon until midnight in the Beer Garden. |
