As a part of their writing program, Hoover provides assignments where the children work on writing solid paragraphs with a great main topic sentence, detail sentences and a concluding sentence.

Through one of their writing assignments this year, the class explored “Why do you think Saratoga Springs is a great place to live.” The result was in insightful look into our city from this bright group of students.

There are many reasons why I think living in Saratoga Springs is great. It would probably take too long to share all of them with you but here are my top three reasons.

One reason why I think living in Saratoga Springs is great is my family and I have a tradition held at Congress Park. The tradition is that we have a picnic on the grass by the duck pond. It’s usually in the spring or summer. It is hard to help the ducks off our blanket! We also go to see the fireworks on the 4th of July there. It’s fun walking with the crowd and being snuggled in to watch the show. I’ll miss that though because my parents just told me that there will not be fireworks anymore in Congress Park.

Another reason why I think living in “The Spa City” is great is I like visiting the National Museum of Dance because I am an aspiring ballerina. I also just recently went there because the New York City Ballet was holding auditions for a performance that will be held in July.

The last reason why I think living in “The Spa City” s great is that just my dad and my sisters have another tradition to go in August to the Saratoga Race Track. At sunrise, we head for the track! My mom does not go because it’s too early. Before we see the horses we always go on the tour and get breakfast. In fact, Saratoga Race Track is the oldest track in the United States.

As you can see, Saratoga Springs is a great place to live. Also you now know my top three reasons of why I like living in Saratoga Springs and I hope that by reading this, other people will think that its an awesome place to live!
