Karen Flanagan Remillard
Gansevoort, NY – Karen Flanagan Remillard of Route 50 died unexpectedly on Monday, July 14, 2008 at her residence. She was 48. Born on Dec. 16, 1959 in Saratoga Springs, she was a 1978 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. Her many interests included arts and crafts, garage and yard sales, antiquing, enjoying ghost stories and books. Karen was devoted to her family and cared for her children and pets. Her father, the late Joseph L. Flanagan, died Nov. 12, 1999. In addition to her mother, Rosemary (Burke) Flanagan of Gansevoort, survivors include her children, Cherae Remillard of Ballston Spa, Ashley and Joseph Puglese of Gansevoort; five sisters, Kathleen Kardash and Karol Murphy, both of Stillwater, Kelley Phillips and Kimberly Barrett, both of Gansevoort and Keilah Bunyan of Ballston Spa; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends gathered on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes in Saratoga Springs followed by a Christian Wake Service. The Rite of Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Friday, July 18 at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
