Suzanne A. Landry
Saratoga Springs – Suzanne A. Landry of Circular Street passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at her residence. She was 76. Born on Dec. 29, 1931 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Florence Ames. She moved from Akron to New York City where she spent many years as a professional ballerina. Later in her career, she became the vice-president of EMI, the music publishing company in NYC. Following many years in New York City, she and her husband moved to Saratoga Springs where they had vacationed for many years. Suzanne provided volunteer work at the National Museum of Dance and gave many before-performance lectures at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). She was also a member of the Church of St. Peter and was predeceased by her husband, Albert Landry, who died on May 13, 2001. A Memorial funeral service will be conducted in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of Saratoga Springs. |
