Patricia Genevieve (Matrazzo) Carnevale
Saratoga Springs – On Saturday, May 31, 2008, our mother, Patricia Genevieve (Matrazzo) Carnevale joined her husband and our father, George Frank Carnevale in eternal happiness. Patricia worked as a waitress for many years in the family restaurant, “Art’s Inn” on Saratoga Lake. She then worked as a switchboard operator for ten years at Four Winds Hospital. Pat loved her job as dispatcher for the city of Saratoga Springs DPW garage, retiring in April of 2008. Loved by all who knew her, she was our storyteller, secret-keeper and best friend. A wife, mother and matriarch, Pat was kind, compassionate and understanding. Her love for her family and friends shown through in all she said and did, guiding us along the way with a loving sense of humor and “matter of fact” sincerity. She was also a proud member of the “Y Women” and the American Legion Adirondack Post 70 Ladies Auxiliary. Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, George, her loving parents, Dorothy (Richmond) and Anthony J. Matrazzo, as well as her one brother, John Matrazzo. She is survived by four sons, George Carnevale Jr. (fiancée Joyce Munn), Michael D. Carnevale (Barb), Arthur J. Carnevale (Jill) and Matthew D. Carnevale (Paula); two daughters, Robin Carnevale (fiancé Alan Schwedt), Shari L. Carnevale (fiancé Tito Cabrera) and one sister, Toni Dybowski (fiance Bert Powell). She will always be “Gram” to thirteen grandchildren, listed by parents, George III, Jonathan, Christopher, Anthony and Marissa Carnevale, Tiffany Gisondi (Tony), Kevin T. Charbonneau (Sarah), Jeslyn Charbonneau (fiancé Michael Bell), Desiree Prairie (Rich), Jared A. Demarco, Courtney, Keirston and Logan Carnevale and six great-grandchildren, Brooklynne, Zoelie, Jayden, Ashley, Brittney and Chloe. Relatives and friends will meet at 11:15 a.m. today, Friday, June 6, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs and then proceed to the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Stillwater, for burial. |
